FBI Nabs Three ISIS Wannabes Who Wanted to Behead Female Soldiers — But Sure, Let's Reopen the Border

The FBI just arrested three men across Kansas and California for allegedly plotting ISIS-inspired attacks on U.S. military personnel — including one charming individual who said he "has always wanted to kill a female soldier by beheading." But please, tell us again how the real domestic threat is parents at school board meetings.

The Justice Department announced the arrests on Friday. Bisaam Ghafoor, 21, of Leawood, Kansas, Elias Shamsaldeen, 21, of Porterville, California, and Bereen Dzayee, 25, of Lakeside, California, were all charged in the District of Kansas with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorism — specifically, to ISIS. According to the feds, the three communicated with an individual they believed to be an ISIS member from February 2025 through June 2026 and collectively provided more than $2,000 to the cause.

But it gets worse. Much worse.

Ghafoor allegedly told investigators — or whoever was on the other end of those chats — "I wish I could kill 300,000,000 Americans." That's the entire population, folks. He also reportedly said it would be "sick" if his name could be written on a drone used in an attack. Shamsaldeen, meanwhile, expressed his desire to stab and injure a U.S. servicemember. These aren't abstract ideological musings. These are operational fantasies from men who allegedly tried to acquire rocket-propelled grenades.

The arrests were carried out by the FBI across Kansas City, Kansas, San Diego, California, and Sacramento, California. FBI Director Kash Patel and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche oversaw the operation — and credit where credit is due, the Bureau actually caught real terrorists this time instead of manufacturing entrapment schemes or raiding a former president's home over filing disputes.

We spent years watching the FBI treat half the country like enemy combatants. Grandmas who walked through the Capitol got the full SWAT treatment. Meanwhile, these three were allegedly funneling cash to ISIS and fantasizing about beheading American soldiers. Funny how the priorities shifted once the adults got back in charge.

And here's the part nobody in Washington wants to talk about: how confident are we that our border security apparatus was keeping tabs on every potential jihadi who waltzed into this country over the last four years? We had an open border. We had millions of unvetted entrants. We had a government that actively fought to keep it that way.

These three were arrested on American soil. They were plotting against American troops. They wanted RPGs.

ISIS didn't pack up and go home just because CNN stopped covering them. They're still recruiting, still plotting, still targeting our men and women in uniform. The only difference now is we have an FBI director who actually wants to stop them.

The plot was disrupted before any attack could be carried out. That's a win. But it's also a reminder that every single day, there are people inside this country who want us dead — and for four years, the previous administration rolled out the welcome mat.

Sleep tight, America. At least someone's finally watching the door.
