Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche just became every law-and-order voter's favorite person this week after the DOJ moved with lightning speed to arrest a 27-year-old Brooklyn man who threatened to kill an ICE agent and his entire family during the Delaney Hall standoff. Nicholas Matthew Scelfo now faces federal felony charges, and honestly, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Scelfo — real tough guy, this one — reportedly got right in an ICE officer's face and said: "I saw your face, I'll kill your whole family." Another account from the scene captured the full threat: "Your children, your wife, all dead. I have your face, you're dead." On camera. At a protest. Surrounded by witnesses. Galaxy-brain stuff.
Blanche didn't mince words about what happens next: "Think about how disgusting this individual is, threatening his family and his children with death. I promise you, we will find him and when we find him we will arrest him." Promise made, promise kept — the FBI picked Scelfo up and he's now staring down federal felony charges for threatening to kill a law enforcement officer and his family.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin thanked the FBI for the swift arrest and dropped a staggering statistic — death threats against ICE officers have surged 8,000% since the enforcement operations began. Eight thousand percent. Let that sink in. The "tolerant" left has sent so many death threats to immigration officers that the increase requires five digits to express.
And Scelfo wasn't the only genius caught up in the dragnet. Brendan John Geier was also charged with physically assaulting ICE officers — kicking and biting them during the Delaney Hall confrontation. Because apparently the new progressive activism playbook includes "assault federal agents with your mouth."
Blanche made the DOJ's position crystal clear: "We will not tolerate the vicious attacks on ICE officers."
