Democrat Operative who Leaked Trump Tax Returns Gets Slap on the Wrist from DOJ After Pulling Off ‘Biggest Heist in IRS History’

After an IRS contractor pulled off a crime which a judge referred to as the “biggest heist” in the agency’s history, the DOJ decided to take it easy on him simply BECAUSE the crime was committed against President Donald Trump.

Charles Littlejohn worked as a contractor for the IRS when he stole the tax information of thousands of individuals – most notably, President Donald Trump.

Littlejohn specifically took the IRS job to gain access to Trump’s tax information and would subsequently leak the info to The New York Times in 2019, just in time for the 2020 election.

He then plead guilty to one count of unauthorized disclosure of tax returns and return information and was given a mere 5 YEARS in prison – but it’s a miracle he even got that.

U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes said this was the “biggest heist” in IRS history but it was clear from the start that the Democrat-loyalists at the DOJ never REALLY wanted to hold Littlejohn accountable for breaking the law, because he did so with the intention of getting dirt on Donald Trump.

“It cannot be open season on our elected officials,” Judge Reyes said before adding that judges had a duty to make that clear. Earlier in the hearing she expressed “sympathy” for Littlejohn while pointing out that he had in fact committed an “attack” on the nation’s constitutional democracy.

“He targeted the sitting president of the United States of America and that is exceptional by any measure,” she told Mr. Littlejohn’s attorney. She added that in targeting President Trump, Mr. Littlejohn targeted the office of president.

Despite this, the DOJ offered Littlejohn a cushy plea deal which would not be extended to your average American.

In exchange for acknowledging that he “willfully obstructed or impeded, or attempted to obstruct or impede, the administration of justice with respect to the investigation of his offenses,” and admitting to having engaged in “two separate acts related to misappropriation of taxpayer information,” the DOJ agreed to charge Littlejohn with just the one count.

But with many suspecting that the Democrats may have employed Littlejohn as an operative of theirs, sending him in to retrieve the information, a more secretive part of the Littlejohn plea deal appears to have been him taking SOLE RESPONSIBILITY for the crimes – and not outing anybody who put him up to it.

“I alone am responsible for this crime,” Littlejohn said in the courtroom, claiming that he was serving the “public interest” but was operating off of “misguided belief.”

Littlejohn’s attorney attempted to argue that he didn’t leak the information to advance a political agenda, but even the DOJ’s own sentencing memo admitted that he “weaponized” his access to taxpayer data in order to “further his own personal, political agenda, believing that he was above the law.”

 But it wasn’t just his OWN political agenda, it was that of the Democratic party and we certainly know they ARE above the law which is why Littlejohn has been given what some have referred to as “the plea deal of the century.”
